    Let's keepthe music going!! Today, LaSuria Kandi Allman interviews Hip Hop artist Prossess.


    PeaZe! I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. I'm a member of the Element 5 chapter of the Universal Zulu Nation. I been on the scene for about 10 years. Have been known for slangin' CD's on the street and tearin' up stages. My latest album is at "Titans" feat Sean Price, "Rep the Elements" feat Lewis Parker, and "Rock the Beat" feat Keith Murray and are all off of my latest album "Ybor City Phantom"www.YborCityPhantom.bandcamp.com and features many legends includin' Sean Price, Keith Murray and  many others.
    My latest music video is for my joint I did with A-Plus of the groups Hieroglyphics & Souls of Mischief. ​

    Tampa, Florida 
    What was it like growing up in Tampa?
    It was very hot.

    How did get your name?
    My home boy, because of my last name. 2 ss in the middle and 2 at the end.
    Tell me about your latest release?
    Ybor City Phantom, RIP Sean Price
    What inspired you to become a artist?
    I started skate boarding I was 11 or 12. They would put out videos, it captivated me.
    Who was the first artist you collaborated with?
    Donald D. Rhyme Syndicate (Ice Tee)
    Do you think the music has changed from then to now?
     Definitely changed, most people  would leave that subject alone. Because they don't want to piss nobody off.
    How would you categorize your style?
     I am about that smooth style.
    What if any message do you try to relay to the audience?
    The basic principles of Hip hop
     What would you change about the music industry from an executive stand point?
    Auto tunes. Everyone wants to express themselves.
    What do you think attributed to the change from consciousness of the early 80's to the gangster era of today?
    That was the era of the Kool G Rap
    What are your thoughts about the way the artists are presenting themselves?
    Ransom Notes, UK. The chemistry was right. I wrote that in my songs. It's ridiculous when it's being pushed so heavy on our children.
    What would you consider to be the big break that will get the artists foot in the door mainstream?
    Hard work
    How long have you been in the music industry?
    All my life
     What are your goals for the future?
    I just want to rhyme.

     If you could change your profession what would it be?
    Movies
    What do you think about the legalization of Marijuana?
    People can grow weed easy if it was legalized. But you don't see anyone able to grow Xanax and whatever other pill that you could think of. It would be harder for them to control their profit.
