Hello audience, thank you again for stopping in. Today, LaSuria Kandi Allman will share the chat she had with Levi Little, Singer/ Songwriter and member of Blackstreet.
Levi was born in New Jersey. At an early age he found his
niche it was music. His voice soothe souls, he developed a talent in
songwriting. Levi joined the group Blackstreet in 1991. The group songs
strengthened relationships and crossed mainstream barriers across the
world.
The lyrics were geared toward spreading love and happiness. One
such song was "Joy" Levi was the lead singer. Joy gained national
attention and put the spotlight on him.
His voice captivated the hearts
and minds of the young and old which bridged the gap. His style and
rhythm can not be measured. Levi's creativeness and talent is to be
admired by all, especially the music industry.
Their songs top the charts "Booth Call," and "Before I Let
You Go," hit the Top 40. Also "Before I Let You Go," Hit the Top 10. The
hit "No Diggity," (Dr. Dre) hit no 1 on Billboards Hot 100. Blackstreet
won a Grammy in 1998 For Best RB performance by Duo or Group with
Vocals.They were made a special guest appearance of Jay Z's "City Is Mine." They also collaborated with Mya and Maserati and recorded "Take Me There" for The Rug rats soundtrack. They have also collaborated with Janet Jackson, Ja Rule, Eve,and that's just to name a few.
In 2014 Blackstreet reunited again the current members are Chauncey Hannibal, Levi Little, Mark Middleton, and Eric Williams.
They are currently doing a world tour. Look forward to coming albums of this dynamic group, because they are back!
