    LaSuria Kandi Allman interviews radio personality Black Tear aka Eddie Powell

    BlackTear, BlackOut radio show CEO, emcee, military veteran, is here to put Detroit on the map through lyricism and radio broadcasting. He has been gaining respect with industry rappers as well as in his local area.
     As far as his radio show, it runs every Tuesday between 10pm-12am est and is considered a platform for unsigned and new artists to gain a buzz.

    In 3 months, he has interviewed artists from No Limit Records, The Wu Tang Clan, M.O.P, and the N.W.A, just to name a few  If an industry artist isn't being interviewed, the show offers a fan call in edition where talent from all genres can call in and promote themselves.      People describe it as a bad city but it is not.

    What inspired you to become a radio personality?
     At first I was a rapper

    Growing up I was in plays

     Laid back,  networking
    You have been a radio personality for a while what was the funniest thing you saw or heard?
    Prank callers
     What keeps you motivated?
     Constantly being able to speak with artists and the connections.
    Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?
     I don't know
     If you could change your profession what would it be?
     I believe in God, Politics

     Do you think the music has changed from then to now?
    Severely. I like the real essence it's a  new generation of followers.
    How would categorize your style?
    What message do you try to relay to the audience?
     I try to be versatile.  I want to have a song for everyone
    What would you change about the music industry?
     What do you think attributed to the change from consciousness of the early 80's to the gangster era of today?
    What are your thoughts about the way the artists are presenting themselves?
     Very ignoran.
    What are your goals in the future, with radio/acting?
    What can we do to change, uplift, and educate the youth of today?
     As a people,  it starts at home.
    What advice do you give to aspiring radio personalities?
     Everyday I work on my fan base and interviews.
