    LaSuria Kandi Allman interviews Hip Hop artist Bossalena.

     One of the most talented Rapper/Songwriter/Audio Engineer to come out of Compton Ca. Bossalena has been spitting fire as a solo artist since 2005/2006. She has hit the underground scene with collections of mixtape release's Freestyles and original tracks
    produced by Bossalena herself as well as other producers. Female Don Vol.1, Female Don Vol.2, Straight 2 The League,Undisputed,The Takeover Begins, Follow The Leader, Off With There Heads, Some of Bossalena's mixtape projects from 2008-2012.

    What city and state did you grow up in?

     Compton, California
    What was it like growing up in Compton?

    Tell me some things about yourself?

    I am real laid back, cool and very humble.
     Tell me about your latest release?
    What inspired you to become a artist?
    Music is my whole life and my family.
    Who was the first artist you collaborated with?
     Do you think the music has changed from then to now?
     How would you categorize your style?
     Versatile, Dirty West
       What if any message do you try to relay to the audience?
     Inspiration, motivation and different messages
    What would you change about the music industry from an executive stand point?
    Raise the standards of music, monitor the artist and the messages that they are putting out.
    What do you think attributed to the change from consciousness of the early 80's to the gangster era of today?
    Before gangster rap they were more conscious about stuff they had messages.

     What are your thoughts about the way the artists are representing themselves?
     Tell me what do you think about the way they are dressing the skirts and blouses?
     It's a trend
     What would you consider to be the big break that will get the artists foot in the door mainstream?
    Trends, gimmicks, oppose to hard grinders
    How long have you been in the music industry?
      10 yrs
     What are your goals for the future?
    More shows, traveling
    Do you have any shows/album/videos coming up?
    Dropping 3 projects between January and February.
     Are there any artists that you would like to collaborate with?
    Mainly the underground and local, I have a lot of artists that I work with.
     So your fans can follow you what social media sites are you on?
    Are you involved in any social or political groups?
    Are there any youth or community programs that you are involved in?
    I volunteer with different affiliates where we feed the homeless and elderly.
    Are there any challenges that you have dealt with and you have  overcame?
    My life is a movie, I have been through a lot of stuff. I just lost my mother.
    Are you interested in making movies?
    Boss.   Eventually, yes
    Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
    Touring over seas
     What advice would you give to young men today who are suffering from injustices?
     Stay strong
    What advice do you give to aspiring artists who are trying to get into the music industry?
    As a male it is easier,  and harder for a female.
     What keeps you motivated?
    Boss.   My family
    What do you think about the legalization of Marijuana?
    I love it

    What are your hobbies?
    Music,  movies, video games, walking on the beach.
