mother of two handsome boys, works as a teacher, play-writer and community advocate. I grew up in the urban area, the hood. I had a lot of fun.

What inspired you to become an author?
I would read often when I was young.

If you could speak directly to youth today about education what would you say?
The importance of a good education is very important. I am a teacher myself.
What advice do you give to young men suffering from police brutality?
I see it everyday, I see it on the news. It troubles me
Are there any survival tactics or a book, a journal that you suggest that they read?
Get yourself out of that situation. A book called "Letters to the Young Brother" by Hill Harper.
What keeps you motivated?
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Are there any challenges you have faced and overcame?
Yes, In 2008 I had cervical cancer.
