LaSuria Kandi Allman interviews Author Sean Wright, CEO Just Right Publications
Sean Wright is an author that was born and raised in Southside Jamaica, Queens, NY that has wasted no time rising to the top to join other African American authors that have a passion for writing urban street novels.
Using his passion for poetry that has lived within him since he was nine years old, he created the saga, A Gangster’s Melody that was released on January 11, 2011, through his own publishing company, Just Wright Publications. A heart wrenching chronicle so masterfully told that the book sold out in 24 hours.
A Gangsters Melody was ranked #1in urban fiction and #1 in the overall drama section on Amazon’s Kindle in only 24 hours of its release. And by the 3rd day the rave about the book spread like wildfire shooting him to the #1 spot on Amazon’s Best Sellers List.
Out of hundreds of reviews, A Gangster’s Melody has received no less than 4.5 stars. As the books success continues to grow, Sean Wright has received numerous invites to in-stores, book signings, and speaking engagements.
After a year of constant touring engagements Sean released the highly sought after and anticipated sequel to his debut novel entitled AGM2: A New York State of Mind which immediately outsold its predecessor and skyrocketed to the #1 spot on Amazon’s Best Seller List once again. Since then Sean has gone on to follow up with the success of the aforementioned titles with books like Hell In A Handbag, Hell In A Handbag Too, and One Bad Apple 1&2; All which have hit #1.
Sean is currently in production of a feature film as well as a web series (both which he has written). He is executive producing as well as the leading actor. The film is slated for a late 2016 release and the series is slated to be aired in January 2016.
Sean’s style of writing is of pure colorfulness and scenic depiction. He is very passionate about the vivid narration of his stories. He incorporates an innovative approach in his writing that creates euphoria of no boundaries and dream like reality into his reader’s minds to where you are watching the words take place and not reading them.
