Hi, Austin Sanchez here again. I see this interview is going to be on me again today. Don't get me wrong, I love sitting and talking to people. Just thought we were going to get one of the newest character's in our author Ey's repertoire to come forward and introduce himself (Looks to guy at his left.), but I see he's too busy meditating. That's Bernard from the novel Trippin' Prince Charming. Guess we'll talk to him at some later date.
Today we will be having a chat about Mr. Write. Tyler Write that is. He is one of the main characters from the novel Tease by author Deatri King-Bey. I've been informed he's a bit of a playboy. *Picks up cue card to read.* Listen to this.
"Tyler can have any woman except the one he truly wants—Eva Simpson. Smooth
lines and sweet talk won't work with her. To have a chance at Eva’s heart,
he’ll have to show her who he really is.After Eva
caught her fiancé in bed with her cousin, she swore she'd never be played for
the fool again. Now the ultimate bed-hopper—Tyler Write, has set his sights on
her and she’s having difficulty resisting him."
Well, seems like Mr. Write may have his hands tied a bit when it comes to Ms. Eva. Let's give him a round of applause as he climbs into The Chair.
Thanks for coming over, man. Ey asked me to do the interview. Thought it would work better man to man. Let's get started. What do you like about
your situation in your book?
The fact I
began making peace with my father. My family was correct. I couldn’t move
forward with my life when I was spending so much time looking back. Then there
is my Eva. I found my “one.”
You think so? From What I just read you have a lot of work to do to win her over. I had to do the same in my book, The Perfect Solution. What do you
dislike about your situation in your book?
That I didn’t get to “be” with Eva
sooner. When I first approached her, she
did something a woman had never done to me—shot me down! I was king of the one
night stand and she turned me down. She offered friendship. I’m grateful to her
for sticking to her guns because otherwise we wouldn’t have had a real chance
at falling in love.
That's what I like about my Catrine, too. I like a woman who stands by her convictions.
If you had a
chance to rewrite your ‘story’, what would you change?
I’d already be rich.
Yes, I own a company and make a nice living, but Eva’s school was in great
financial need. If I had been rich, I could have paid off the school debt and
she wouldn’t have been under so much stress.
Wow, that must've been rough to sit back and watch your lady struggle and worry. What would
you keep?
My falling in love with Eva, and my gaining a daughter out of the
deal.
That's nice. I like kids. I have a son. Catrine had kept him a secret from me. Only found out about him after he was kidnapped, but thats for another time. Do you have
a family? If so, how is your family life?
I have a HUGE family. I’m the
youngest of four boys. My mother and great uncle set on a course to see that
all four of us marry. As each of my brothers dropped into marriage, I thought
they were suckers, but I guess I was the only sucker in the bunch.
Sounds like my family. What do you wish people will learn/ enjoy
about your story?
I hope they enjoy the ride they are taken during the course
of the book. Family issues, love, fears, danger—it s all in there.
What do you
really think about your author?
I may be a tad bit biased, but I love her. She
listens to us (the characters) instead of trying to force us where we don’t
want to go. She lets our voices ring through.
*Austin, nods his head in agreement.*
Sign of a great writer, I think. Ey does the same. Well, Tyler I think that's all of the questions. Thank you so much for stopping by and sitting in the chair.
