    Heeey, it's another great day and you have joined LaSuria Kandi Allman as she interviews Hip Hop artist Sunny Cartel.

    Sunny hails from Detroit Michigan MC., armed with superb lyrical wordplay and the return to real Hip Hop. Sunny has been described as the new Jay Z of Detroit Hip Hop. One look at his music videos or a listen to his material will tell you why.

    Kandi.    What city and state did you grow up in?
    Sunny.   Detroit and Highland Park
    Kandi.   What was it like growing up in Detroit and Highland Park?
    Sunny.  We have a rich musical history
    Kandi.   Tell me some things about yourself?
    Sunny.  Very laid back
    Kandi.  How long have you been an artist ?
    Sunny.  15 yrs
    Kandi.   What inspired you to become artist and musician?
    Sunny.  I have always been a fan of dialogue
    Kandi.  Who was the first person you have collaborated it?
    Sunny.   Deacon Jones
    Kandi.   Do you think the music has changed from then to now?
    Sunny.  Yes, it took a Big Transition
    Kandi.   How would you categorize your style?  
    Sunny.   What music is missing.
    Kandi.   What if any message do you try to relay to your audience?

    Sunny.   Be Yourself,  their is format to your heart. I am a ball of a expression.
    Kandi.   What would you change about the music industry from an executive stand point?
    Sunny.   I would take Hip hop back
    Kandi.   What do you think attributed to the change from consciousness of the early 80's to the gangster era of today?
    Sunny.  More people want to entertain.
    Kandi.  What are your thoughts about the way the artists are representing themselves?
    Sunny.  It is the feminizing of Hip hop.
    Kandi.    Tell me what do you think about the way they are dressing the skirts and blouses?
    Sunny.   Hip hop needs to be cultured more.
    Kandi.   What would you consider to be the big break that will get the artists foot in the door mainstream?
    Sunny.  Consistency
    Kandi.   What are your goals for the future?
    Sunny.  Be a good God fearing man
    Kandi.   Do you have any shows/album/videos releases coming up?

    Sunny.  I am a Detroit fan. After my album releases they are going to want to collaborate with me.

    Sunny.  I was in the military Iraq, and Life
    Kandi.   Are you interested in making  movies?
    Sunny.   Yes, I am an entertainer by nature.
    Kandi.   Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
    Sunny.   Being the greatest Father that ever lived and Helping people
    Kandi.   What advice would you give to young men today who are suffering from injustices?
    Sunny.  You must be a Man
    Kandi.    What advice do you give to aspiring artists who are trying to get into the music industry?
    Sunny.  The Skill Set
    Kandi.   What keeps you motivated, what drives you?
    Sunny.  I'm obsessed
    Kandi.   If you could change your profession what would it be?
    Sunny.  Boxer
    Kandi.   What are your thoughts about the legalization of Marijuana?
    Sunny.  I have no problems with it.
    Kandi.   What are your thoughts about the Flint water crisis?
    Sunny.  That is a sensitive subject to me obviously neglect. The Governor should be accountable for his choices.
    Kandi.   If you could speak directly to the youth of today about the importance of obtaining a good education what would you say?
    Sunny.  It's Golden to the Success of you
    Kandi.   Married? children?
    Sunny.  No, Son
    Kandi.   Favorite food?
    Sunny.  Mashed potatoes
    Kandi.   What are your hobbies?
    Sunny.  Music,  writing music,  watching boxing
